One of the hardest things to do is to stay cool in the midst of chaos. When life feels like it is throwing you around like a rag doll, that is when you know it's time to mentally let go but don't give up! It's ok to take a break. It's ok to need to just take a moment to breathe. When you know you are losing control or, hell, you have already lost it, it is more important than ever to not give up! When you know damn well that you are doing everything in your power to make things right, you have to just keep moving forward. Don't give up!
I know, this sound like I am just saying words, and that's easy to say, but so hard to do. But everyone has to learn how to deal with life on life's terms. So here is some of helpful tips:
1. Take a moment to count to 10. Yes, take a moment and count to 10. You can do this in your mind. But give yourself a 10 second delay. This is a great technique when deal with large groups.
2. Ask more questions. Stop and ask yourself the what, when, where and why questions. What am I doing? When does this need to be done? Where am I going? And why am i so affected by this situation? This technique has helped a lot of folks from making the wrong decisions.
3. Visualize the end results. After you count to 10, take another moment to visualize what you want as your end result. What would make this situation really work for you? If you can see it in your mind's eye, then you can achieve it on the physical plane.
Just don't make giving up the first option. Give yourself a true chance to work with your frustrations to see what you can make happen on the other side.

Finally, check out Priya Bradfield's latest post at her blog: You Know Nothing, Mommy. Isn't the name of her blog just right? In her latest post, "If Not Me, Then Who?", she's talking about continuing to help fix our schools by volunteering even though her kids are in high school and she's working full time. Talk about not giving up!
